Complete the Law draft amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations
On May 22, 2024, implementing the authorization of the Leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology, at the Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality, it took place a meeting with ministries, branches and business associations on the draft amended Law, supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations (hereinafter referred to as the Draft Amendment and Supplement Law).

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi, Director of the Department of Standards, following the Government's direction, the Ministry of Science and Technology has recently continued to complete the draft documents for the amended and supplemented Law; sent comments and processed nearly 100 comments from 19 ministries and branches and the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Vietnam Association of Seafood Processing (VASEP), and Europe Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham), American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AmCham).
At the meeting, delegates from relevant ministries, agencies, and organizations made statements analyzing and evaluating the current situation, limitations, inadequacies and discussing and clarifying regulations that need to be amended in the Law draft.
Based on the opinions of the delegates, Dr. Ha Minh Hiep - Acting Director of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality, absorbed the contributions, discussed and clarified problems, and concluded a plan to complete the Law draft to implement the next steps.
