Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology wellcomed and worked with Radiation and Nuclear Safety Department
In order to deploy and carry out state management work in the field of atomic energy locally, in the morning of May 27, 2024, Working Group of Radiation and Nuclear Safety Department included 05 comrades, led by Mr. Dinh Ngoc Quang - Head of the Legal and International Cooperation Department, Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety as Head of the delegation, visited and worked at Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology. Welcoming and working with the delegation, there were comrade Truong Hoang Phuong - Deputy Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology, along with representatives of leaders of specialized departments and affiliated units of the Department.

 Overview of the meeting

At the meeting, comrade Truong Hoang Phuong - Deputy Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology expressed its joy to welcome and work with the Working Group of the Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety. Here, the two sides openly discussed the implementation of state management in the field of atomic energy according to the provisions of the Atomic Energy Law since the Law was enacted effectiveness and coordination with relevant agencies in implementing the Law on atomic energy locally; Advantages and disadvantages in state management of atomic energy in the practical implementation of the Law on atomic energy locally; Make recommendations and propose solutions to overcome difficulties.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed on a plan to survey the implementation of the provisions of the Law on atomic energy in Can Tho City, in order to serve the detailed plan for preparing documents to request the development of the Law on Atomic Energy (amended) issued together with Decision No. 1794/QD-BKHCN dated August 15, 2023 of the Minister of Science and Technology.
