Ho Chi Minh City: Launching Science & Technology Infrastructure Exploitation and Service Development Center
In the afternoon of May 24, in Ho Chi Minh City, Science & Technology Infrastructure Exploitation and Service Development Center (abbreviated as CSID Center) held a launching ceremony.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology awarded the decision to establish the CSID Center

CSID was born under establishment decision No. 293/QD-BKHCN issued by the Minister of Science and Technology on March 1, 2024. This event is held on the occasion of Vietnam Science and Technology Day May 18, celebrating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Attending the event, there were delegates representing the Central Ministries and branches in Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Science and Technology, and the Southern Science and Technology Application Center; S&T enterprises; Businesses are subject to environmental impacts; Institutes, Southern Associations, interested organizations and individuals.

CSID Center is a public science and technology organization directly under the Ministry of Science and Technology, implementing research activities and applying scientific and technological advances; providing science and technology services; Support creative startups and innovation in the southern region according to the provisions of law.

CSID cooperates and prioritizes support fields, such as energy, new materials, artificial intelligence, green agriculture, biotechnology, information technology, logistics, and etc.

CSID is the unit assigned to preside over and coordinate science and technology organizations and businesses to mobilize resources for science and technology development, promoting research, application, innovation and technology transfer activities; Organize the exploitation of the Ministry's science and technology infrastructure in Ho Chi Minh City; Propaganda, dissemination, and guidance on incentive mechanisms and policies to quickly bring scientific and technological advances into production and life.

This is also the unit that organizes propaganda activities, encourages and supports businesses to quickly bring research results to life. CSID conducts conferences and seminars on science and technology, training on intellectual property management, international cooperation, connecting investors, and etc.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology, said that this is a service provision model to shorten the distance between scientists and businesses, helping to commercialize products to the market.

Speaking of congratulations, former Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan hoped that CSID would be a pioneer in organizing activities according to the technology exchange model in the Southern region, helping to bring science and technology to life.
