Increasing labor productivity is associated with digital transformation, science, technology and innovation
On May 26, 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and gave a directive speech at the Forum "Improving national labor productivity in 2024". The forum, organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (Confederation of Labor), is an activity to celebrate Workers' Month 2024, the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024).

In recent years, the Government and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor have closely coordinated and effectively deployed many activities and solutions to solve urgent issues related to employment, income, life, and security and safety of workers; build a modern and strong work class; making an important contribution to the country's overall achievements.

Discussing and responding to workers on issues of increasing labor productivity, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that in the context of increasingly fierce competition, while the Industrial Revolution The fourth industry is developing explosively, changing every day, improving labor productivity has become an important and vital issue for all countries, especially developing countries, including Vietnam.

The Prime Minister emphasized that labor productivity is a comprehensive economic indicator of particular importance - one of the most important measures to evaluate and compare the level of development among countries, as well as among sectors and localities in each country.

Also at the forum, the Government and Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized a conference to evaluate the results of implementing the Regulation on working relationships between the two parties in 2024, the focus of work coordination in 2024 and some recommendations of the General Confederation to the Prime Minister.
