Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has been implementing various solutions to overcome difficulties in science, technology, and innovation activities.
On the occasion of Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18) and in response to the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ba Ria Vung Tau Province Department of Science and Technology organized a scientific workshop: Some solutions remove difficulties in science, technology and innovation activities in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Tran Duy Tam Thanh spoke at the workshop.

The workshop aims to connect experts, scientists, managers with organizations, science and technology enterprises, innovative startups, cooperatives, and units with OCOP products in the province to discussed a number of issues related to technology solutions, innovation, digital transformation in businesses, and etc. Thereby, providing directions and solutions for developing research activities and deploying applications in the field of Science, Technology and Innovation at units and localities.

Recently, Ba Ria Vung Tau Province Department of Science and Technology has carried out many activities such as advising the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee leaders to implement many tasks and solutions proposed in the Resolution of the 7th Provincial Party Congress, Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on the development of science and technology in the province to 2020, orientation to 2025, programs, projects and policies to support businesses and achieve many results.

To continue to realize the views and goals of the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress on the goals and orientations of the National Strategy/Program on Science and Technology to 2030; The resolution of the 7th Provincial Party Congress for the term of 2020-2025 proposed: strengthening the application of science and technology, creating a startup ecosystem, promoting administrative reform, digital transformation, and building smart urban areas. To achieve these things, it requires the joint efforts of all classes, levels, and sectors, especially the attention, suggestions, contributions, and active participation of a team of experts and scientists, generations of leaders, managers, organizations, science and technology enterprises and staffs, civil servants, and public employees of the science and technology sector, and etc.

Within the framework of the workshop, delegates also heard presentations from relevant scientists and managers. The content of the reports has contributed to clarifying technology solutions, innovations, and intellectual property support activities; supporting innovative startups; digital transformation in businesses, such as current status and some policies on science, technologies and innovation to support businesses and cooperatives in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province; intellectual property in commerce; Introducing a number of digital platforms applied to small and medium enterprises; How do artificial intelligence, sustainable economy, and climate change impact the choice of business model in innovative startups; and etc.
