Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park: Towards building a city of science, technology and innovation
Realizing the importance of high technology (CNC) to the country's socio-economic development, since the early 90s of the twentieth century, our Party and State have had correct orientation, decisions and policies to promote the development of science and technology (S&T), especially, high technology determined to accelerate the application and development of high technolgy in the country, of which the construction and development of high tech zones is a breakthrough in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country. During 25 years of construction and development, Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park has actively contributed to the socio-economic development of the country in general and of Hanoi city in particular. Hoa Lac Industrial Park has been aiming to build a city of science, technology and innovation.

The development of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in recent years has closely followed the focus of linking science and production with 6 operating mottos: i) Linking research and development at the Park with import and technology transfer activities  and technology services within and outside the Zone; acts as an important high tech border gate in Vietnam; ii) Pay appropriate attention to high tech human resource training; iii) Building endogenous capacity in high tech research and development, being Vietnam's high tech incubator; iv) Pay special attention to software technology development; v) Effectively link with Hanoi National University, research and development units, and businesses in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park; vi) Actively contribute to the socio-economic development process of the capital and the country, and etc.

Regarding investment attraction: So far, the Management Board has attracted 109 investment projects into Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park (including 95 domestic projects and 14 foreign investment projects) on a total area of ​​about 388 acres. hectares, with a total registered investment capital of about 115,500 billion VND.

Regarding training and attracting high-quality human resources: Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park has attracted a number of large universities (FPT, Hanoi Science and Technology, Van Lang, a component of Vietnam-Japan University), with about 40,000 graduate students and students live, research and study in the high tech park. The training program and teaching staffs meet regional and world qualifications in many majors: information and communications technology; mechatronics engineering technology; data science; biotechnology, medicine - pharmacy; aviation technique; advanced materials science and nanotechnology; electrical engineering and renewable energy; space science and satellite technology; robotics and automation; business administration, international business, and etc. Currently, there are about 14,600 people working in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, including nearly 10,000 hi-tech workers.
