Ho Chi Minh City "ordered" a shared electronic medical record platform
Implementing Plan 2701 of the City People's Committee on promoting innovation activities in the public sector in Ho Chi Minh City for the period of 2022 - 2025, the Department of Science and Technology has issued a plan to organize the "Find innovative solutions in the public sector in 2024 - Saigon Govtech Challenge 2024 (Gov.Star 2024)''. The competition aims to find solutions, innovative models, processes, and technologies to help solve problems in operations and management of the Department of Education and Training, Department of Health and District People's Committee and Thu Duc City, and etc.

In the afternoon of May 29, 2024, at Saigon Innovation Hub (Sihub, No. 273 Dien Bien Phu, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) it took place a Conference "Sharing ordering problems on improving quality and efficiency of medical examination and treatment management and treatment activities in Ho Chi Minh City". Participating in the Conference, from the Department of Science and Technology, there was Mr. Le Huy Hoang - Deputy Head of Intellectual Property Management and Innovation Division. On the Department of Health side, there were Associate Professor. Dr. Nguyen Anh Dung - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, along with leaders representing departments and centers under the Department of Science and Technology and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health as well as the presence of experts, scientists from universities, research centers, and science and technology enterprises in the City. This is an important conference within the framework of the Gov.Star 2024 Competition organized by the Department of Science and Technology.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Mr. Le Huy Hoang - Deputy Head of the Department of Intellectual Property Management and Innovation, Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City shared, one of the programs to implement Plan No. 2701 is a competition to find innovative solutions in the public sector. The 2024 competition seeks innovative solutions and models, technology applications, and digital transformation to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency in 3 areas in Ho Chi Minh City: Public Affairs of wards, communes, towns; Medical examination and treatment at the grassroots medical system; Management, teaching and learning activities.

In addition, within the framework of the Conference, Ms. Dang Thi Luan - Deputy Director of Sihub gave a general presentation about the framework of the Competition "Finding innovative solutions in the public sector in 2024 - Saigon Govtech Challenge 2024 (Gov.Star) 2024)'' to spread the spirit and culture of innovation in the public sector. Search for innovative solutions and models, support the development and improvement of innovative solutions and models to help solve problems in administration, management, inspection, supervision of the Department Education and Training, Department of Health and City People's Committee, Thu Duc and districts, wards, communes and towns.
