Ninh Thuan promotes the application of science and technology in economic and production development
Ninh Thuan is making continuous efforts to apply science and technology (S&T) to socio-economic development. Especially in the agricultural sector, applying high technology and innovation is considered a key solution.

Ninh Thuan province Department of Science and Technology has implemented many research projects to select and create new varieties with high yield and quality, pest control, and technology transfer in agriculture.

Typically, the completion of the process and mass production of grape variety NH01-152, experimental planting of seedless grape varieties NH04-61 and NH04-128 following VietGAP direction; Selecting and restoring Phan Rang garlic varieties and indigenous sticky corn varieties in Bac Ai district; and propagate disease-free aloe vera using tissue culture technology (Invitro). Brahman, Red Angus, and flower eel breeds for commercial farming are also developed.

The Department of Science and Technology also supported 33 businesses, organizations and individuals in science and technology activities with a total cost of 1,765 billion VND from science and technology funding sources. At the same time, support 4 small and medium enterprises with a total budget of 124,787,950 VND.

According to Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ninh Thuan province, Dang Kim Cuong, during the two years of implementing Resolution No. 06-NQ/TU of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee on developing high-tech agriculture and agricultural production value, Industry increased by an average of 32.31%/year. The whole province has more than 565 hectares of high-tech agricultural production, reaching a production value of 938 million VND/ha/year.
