Binh Thuan: Building 12 models to support businesses in applying standards and productivity improvement tools
Recently, implementing Program 1322 in Binh Thuan province, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology has built 12 models to support businesses in applying standards, technical regulations, management systems, and improving productivity and quality tools, supporting tools for smart production - smart services; Strengthen the capacity to standardize activities and assess conformity with standards and technical regulations.

Accordingly, there are 5 models to support businesses in applying quality management systems (ISO 9001/ISO 22000/HACCP); 2 models to support businesses in applying improvement tools to improve productivity and quality (5S/KPI); 5 models to support businesses in certifying products and goods in accordance with technical regulations.

Businesses wish to participate in the above program, they should contact the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality of Binh Thuan province (Bac Xuan An residential area, Phan Thiet city) for implementation instructions and partial business support from the provincial budget, along with counterpart capital from the enterprise. Thereby contributing to improving productivity, product and goods quality, production and business efficiency, and competitiveness of enterprises in the province.

Sharing at the recent conference on the Support Program to improve productivity, product and goods quality for Binh Thuan businesses, Dr. Ha Minh Hiep - Acting Director General of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality, said that the 4th industrial revolution is an opportunity for Vietnam to gradually narrow the gap in productivity and quality with other countries.

Thereby, the Program to improve productivity and product quality of Vietnamese enterprises issued by the Government and implemented has contributed to achieving the goal of contributing total factor productivity (TFP) to GDP growth to 35% by 2020. The Government continues to issue Decision No. 1322/QD-TTg dated August 31, 2020 on approving the National Program to support businesses in improving productivity, product quality, goods for  the period of 2021-2030.

The decision sets the goal of "supporting businesses to improve productivity and quality of products and goods based on applying solutions on standards, technical regulations, management systems, and productivity, quality improvement tool, contributing to increasing the contribution ratio of total factor productivity to economic growth, improving productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy.
