Hai Phong: Will build Innovation Startup and artificial intelligence Center to serve socio-economic development
That is information announced at the Preliminary Conference on science, technology and innovation activities in Hai Phong city on June 20, 2024. Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Hoang Giang attended and provided directions for the activities of the Department and Hai Phong Science and Technology sector in the coming time.

Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Giang acknowledged, praised and highly appreciated the leaders of Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology for successfully completing assigned tasks; Successfully organized many conferences, seminars, and forums on Science, Technology and Innovation; Activities connecting international and domestic cooperation have achieved many results, many cooperation program documents were signed with research institutes, businesses, and localities, such as Vietnam - Korea Institute of Science and Technology (V-Korea) KIST); between Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, SunEdu International Education Joint Stock Company, Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and Hai Phong University; Department of Science and Technology of Lao Cai province.

Hai Phong is the first locality in the country to pilot the National Standard TCVN ISO 37001:2018 on Anti-Bribery Management System at the Department of Science and Technology. This is clear evidence of transparency in leadership and management at the Department according to national standards.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Giang also noted that compared to the requirements, potential and advantages of the locality, Hai Phong city's science and technology industry needs to strive harder for science, technology and innovation to become a driving force, creating breakthroughs in socio-economic development, having a pervasive impact, leading localities in the Red River Delta region. Special attention is paid to the synchronous implementation of solutions to maintain and improve rankings in the PII Index ranking assessment; Closely coordinate with units of the Ministry of Science and Technology to implement the Coordination Program between the Ministry and the City, typically seeking technology transfer, supporting businesses, and building breakthrough and specific policies on Science, Technology & Innovation, effectively mobilize social resources and businesses to invest in the development of Science, Technology & Innovation, and etc.
