Vinh Phuc: Promote traceability activities, raise awareness for businesses and people
Promoting the implementation of traceability of goods origin, recently, Vinh Phuc province has directed functional departments, branches, and localities to strengthen propaganda coordination to raise awareness and responsibility for localities, businesses as well as consumers in the area.

The Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 293 dated December 2, 2021 on implementing the Project "Deploying, applying and managing the origin traceability system in Vinh Phuc province, period of 2021 - 2030" with the goal of aim to clearly trace the origin of goods, food, and agricultural products, thereby increasing the effectiveness of ensuring the quality and food safety of products and goods, and controlling food quality from production to consumption.

Strive by 2025, in the province to have at least 20% of enterprises operating in the field of production and business services using codes and barcodes with traceability systems applying national and international standards by 2030, ensuring connection of key products, goods and specialties of the province with the National Product and Goods Traceability Information Portal; Gradually build a management system and update the database of products and goods in the province. Thereby, helping businesses make product information transparent, consumers can feel secure in choosing quality products, promoting the consumption of goods and products, especially agricultural products, food, and seafood to export.

In order for the traceability of goods to be truly practical and highly effective, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Industry and Trade, and the Department of Science and Technology actively coordinate with centralized localities to support businesses and agricultural cooperatives in the province in order to apply product quality management systems to standardize production processes; Information transparency, technology application in product traceability through coding and QR Code stamping to trace origin, promoting consumption, improving product value and reputation for businesses.

So far, many enterprises and agricultural cooperatives in the province have effectively applied the origin traceability stamping process through the implementation of support programs and models.

In the face of increasingly sophisticated and complex and counterfeit goods, traceability of goods origin is considered an effective solution to protect brands for businesses and rights for consumers.
