Promote economic diplomacy to contribute to the development of science, technology and innovation
On June 21, 2024, at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son signed a Program to coordinate the implementation of economic diplomacy, contributing to promoting development of science, technology and innovation for the period of 2024-2026.

Coordination program to enhance synchronous and effective cooperation between the two Ministries in implementing Directive No. 15-CT/TW dated August 10, 2022 of the Secretariat and Resolution No. 21/NQ-CP dated August 20 February 2023 promulgated the Government's Action Program for the period of 2022-2026 to implement Directive No. 15 on economic diplomacy to serve national development until 2030.
Speaking at the Signing Ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat highly appreciated the timely, practical and effective coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in professional work, contributing to many important results. Vietnam has fully and responsibly participated and actively contributed to most bilateral and multilateral science and technology cooperation frameworks. The Minister welcomed the agreement between the two agencies to sign the Program, thereby further enhancing the already effective work coordination between the two Ministries.
Minister Huynh Thanh Dat emphasized that the Ministry of Science and Technology will always strive to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws on economic diplomacy, on the basis of specifying a number of goals and tasks of the two ministries.
