Green tourism is associated with sustainable development in the context of globalization
On June 22, 2024, at the Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve (No. 1541 Rung Sac Street, An Nghia Hamlet, An Thoi Dong Commune, Can Gio District, Ho Chi Minh City), it took place the National Scientific Conference "Green tourism associated with development in the context of globalization". The conference was organized by the Center for Youth Science and Technology Development (Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union), University of Finance and Marketing and Can Gio District Protection Forest Management Board. Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology is an accompanying unit; Ho Chi Minh City Young Scientists Club is the coordinating unit.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Dr. Le Trung Dao - Vice Principal of the University of Finance and Marketing commented that the information from the Workshop will help improve the effectiveness of forest management and biodiversity conservation in the local context. Especially promoting cooperation between the University of Finance and Marketing and local management agencies, such as the Protection Forest Management Board.

Reporting at the Conference with the content of "Green tourism: institutions, policies, experiences", Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said, in mangrove forests in Vietnam Nam, Can Gio is an area with the most biologically diverse flora, with a natural ecosystem including: rivers, canals, sea, mangrove forests... still retaining its wild character. With natural potential, this is an ideal location for eco-tourism, relaxation, and also in terms of scientific research. Besides, Can Gio also has many indigenous cultural values ​​with fishing villages and brackish water and salt water aquaculture areas, and etc.
