Starting a business from gifts for his mother, a 9X guy brings in "huge" revenue
In 2018, Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh (born in 1992, Dak Lak) started his business by growing roses from the trees he gave his mother on holidays and Tet. Initially, he imported more than 2,000 trees from the North and Central regions to plant, but due to lack of experiences, many trees died, causing damage of nearly 200 million VND. Undaunted, he actively learned from other provinces, combined knowledge from books, social networks, borrowed money, and sold cars to expand the garden.

So far, he has successfully built a rose garden of more than 1 hectare in Buon Ma Thuot City, with more than 10,000 trees, including more than 300 varieties, including many ancient trees worth from 20 to 100 million VND. He stands out with the largest flower garden in the province, designing, constructing, and caring for roses for customers in provinces such as Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Dinh, Thanh Hoa, bringing in revenue from 700 million to 4 billion VND per year, contributing to enhancing the reputation of the local flower industry.

Among his notable projects, he is proud of his 3,000m² rose garden on East-West Avenue, known as the “rose avenue” of Dak Lak, attracting domestic and foreign tourists. In 2020, he designed and planted a new flower garden in the old office, which has now developed well and attracted public attention. Thanks to these efforts, revenue from roses has increased sharply, reaching about 800 million in 2021, 4 billion in 2022, and then stabilizing at 700-800 million in 2023, while creating steady jobs for 7-10 workers each month. He also opened the garden for visitors to visit and take pictures during the full moon flower blooming season of Tet, contributing to promoting the beauty and developing local tourism.

In addition to growing flowers, he focuses on taking care of healthy plants by providing enough light, keeping the soil moist, pruning, fertilizing regularly, and using biological compounds to prevent pests such as thrips. At the same time, he rented land in Tan Loi ward to develop the only rose garden model in the locality, contributing to promoting the economy and preserving the beauty of the area. In addition, he expanded clean agricultural activities with more than 8,000m² of organic vegetables and fruits, with revenue reaching about 200-300 million VND in 2023, and planted more than 300 ruby guava trees, diversifying products, enhancing the clean agricultural brand, affirming his position in the field of sustainable agriculture.
