Applying data and artificial intelligence to serve governance and sustainable development of Quang Ninh province
On April 21, in Quang Ninh, the Conference on Data Application and Artificial Intelligence (AI) took place to implement the resolutions of the Politburo and the Government on breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

Overview of the conference
Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Pham Duc An, emphasized that the conference is an opportunity to share experiences and solutions to promote governance and sustainable development, and to translate the resolution's goals into specific tasks for the province. Quang Ninh has taken the lead in administrative reform, technology infrastructure development and digital government building, but still faces challenges in high-quality human resources in AI, distributed data, outdated infrastructure and lack of centralized data warehouse.
Experts and scientists shared about the importance of technology and digital transformation in all areas of life such as production, healthcare, education, culture, and arts, helping to change and improve the efficiency of management and administration. Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui The Duy emphasized the role of data and AI in socio-economic development, thereby adjusting appropriate policies to promote the development of Quang Ninh and the country. The conference also focused on building a long-term data strategy, digitizing administrative procedures, promoting the application of AI in management, developing digital infrastructure, and building a sustainable digital ecosystem, forming the "urban brain" of the province.
In his closing speech, Secretary Vu Dai Thang called on the entire province to raise awareness of self-study, self-improvement of digital capacity, and actively implement the program "Digital Popularization" so that all cadres, party members and people are equipped with knowledge about data and new technology. He emphasized that if we do not proactively master data and AI, we will fall behind in the digital revolution. The conference also launched the "Digital Popularization" movement as a practical action to improve people's knowledge in the digital age, towards sustainable and comprehensive development for Quang Ninh.
