Ho Chi Minh City established additional international startup exchange channel to Austria
On May 19, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology wellcomed and worked with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Vietnam - Mr. Philipp Agathonos.
According to Ms. Le Thi Be Ba – Deputy Director of SIHUB, SIHUB is currently very interested in global incubation connection programs for startups, or startup incubation exchanges between parties. These activities aim to promote cooperation between Vietnamese and Austrian businesses.
SIHUB Deputy Director, Ms. Le Thi Be Ba, emphasized the organization's special interest in global networking and incubation programs for startups, aiming to promote cooperation between Vietnam and Austria. During the meeting, Ambassador Philipp Agathonos introduced the Global Incubator Network Austria (GIN), initiated by the Austrian Ministry of Economic Affairs, to support international startups to access the Asian market, with activities to enhance cooperation, training and small capital funding to develop ideas.
Mr. Le Thanh Minh, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, hopes to soon implement specific cooperation activities between the two sides through SIHUB to promote innovation and connect startups. Afterwards, he also attended a discussion on promoting research, development and mobilizing social resources for science and technology activities, contributing to improving the city's innovation capacity.
