Ho Chi Minh City National University proposed to preside basic scientific research programs
On May 16, VNU-HCM held a working session with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission to survey the implementation of Resolutions No.57 and No.45 and human resource training for the Nuclear Power Plant project.

Associate Professor Dr. Huynh Thanh Dat and the delegation visited some laboratories of VNU-HCM before the working session.

Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong presented the results, in which the VNU350 program attracted 27 scientists, including 7 graduates from the world's leading universities; at the same time, 16 international professors and experts from prestigious schools participated in the teaching and research program.

At the same time, Resolution No.57 is implemented through Action Program No. 33, focusing on areas, such as semiconductor technology, AI, biology, green energy and climate change. Most of the cooperation activities, signings and policy proposals are aimed at promoting research and technology transfer, and improving the scientific capacity of units.

In the program, Associate Professor Dr. Le Tan Loc emphasized that Resolution No.57 is a great opportunity for universities and scientists, based on the foundation of innovation. He proposed to perfect legal regulations related to technology transfer and strengthen cooperation with enterprises, in which support policies, such as tax exemption and reduction will encourage investment in science and technology development.

On the local side, Mr. Le Van Minh, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, said that it is necessary to strengthen the connection among scientists, businesses and provinces to improve research efficiency, and said that the province's research budget is still limited and mainly in the form of orders.

In conclusion, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Hai Quan, Director of VNU-HCM, affirmed that the unit is always determined to implement national resolutions on science and technology, towards digital transformation and innovation. He called for close coordination from local authorities in concretizing support policies and recording the contributions of scientists to synthesize and propose solutions to promote sustainable development of the country's science and technology sector.
