Launching the "Digital literacy for all" movement in Can Tho - Disseminating digital knowledge to every citizen
“Digital literacy is a meaningful movement that contributes to building a modern learning society, developing a digital knowledge platform, and at the same time, promoting the development of science, technology, innovation and comprehensive digital transformation in the city."

The results of the "Digital literacy movement" must be measured by fundamental changes in people's digital capacity, promoting the digital economy, building digital government and digital society.

On May 21, 2025, at the Can Tho City Party Committee Hall, a conference was held to launch the "Digital literacy for all" movement, aiming to promote comprehensive digital transformation for the city.

Attending the event, there were city leaders, such as Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, along with representatives of departments, organizations, Party Building Committees and districts, including online. This movement is a key task in the process of building a knowledge society, helping people to be proactive, creative and adapt flexibly to the digital age, contributing to economic and social development and raising awareness of safety in the digital environment.

Comprehensively and synchronously deploy solutions so that "no one is left behind" in the "digital literacy" movement

The program sets a clear goal for 2025-2026, in which 100% of civil servants, public employees, workers will be updated with digital skills and knowledge to serve their work, study and creativity; at the same time, raise awareness of risks and ensure safety in the digital environment. To achieve this goal, Can Tho City will deploy synchronous solutions, such as popularizing digital transformation knowledge, training digital skills for vulnerable groups, building community models, such as "Digital family" and "Digital rural area", spreading digital skills throughout society.

The results of the "Digital literacy movement" must be measured by fundamental changes in people's digital capacity, promoting the digital economy, building digital government and digital society.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, the leaders emphasized the role of the movement in building a learning society, promoting science and innovation, and at the same time requiring all levels and sectors to implement quickly, comprehensively, systematically, and integrate digital technology into all aspects of life. Mr. Le Doan Hop shared about the current situation and solutions for digital transformation in Vietnam, considering this a golden opportunity to develop the country, especially the young generation, in the 4.0 industrial revolution. With these efforts, Can Tho City is moving towards a modern, civilized, and sustainably developed society based on improving the digital capacity of the community.
