On May 21, 2025, the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho organized a meeting to exchange experiences in implementing the "Digital literacy for all" movement. Attending the meeting, there were Mr. Ngo Anh Tin - Director of the Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Le Doan Hop - Former member of the Party Central Committee, Former Minister of Information and Communications, along with the Board of Directors and leaders of departments and units under the Department of Science and Technology.

02 New Resolutions of the Politburo are the leading birds helping Vietnam's economy take off

In his speech at the meeting, Mr. Le Doan Hop emphasized the importance of the two new Resolutions of the Politburo (No. 57-NQ/TW and No. 68-NQ/TW), considering them as two "leading birds" helping the Vietnamese economy "take off". These Resolutions were issued in an urgent context, creating a solid foundation for the country's development based on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.

Mr. Le Doan Hop affirmed that the Science and Technology sector in Can Tho needs to actively follow the Resolutions, transform the spirit into concrete actions to create a real breakthrough in socio-economic development, and at the same time emphasize that the development of digital transformation must be implemented synchronously from the central to local levels, including the "Digital literacy for all" movement in Can Tho.

Discussion

He also shared the view that, for the country to develop, there is no other choice but to rely on the foundation of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation. According to him, technological development cannot lack cooperation with private enterprises, and at the same time, there must be policies to promote and train high-quality human resources to exploit the potential of these subjects. With many years of experience and practical knowledge, he emphasized the central role of the science and technology sector in promoting the economy, contributing to building a rich and strong country with sustainable development.

In his speech, Mr. Ngo Anh Tin - Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho, expressed his appreciation for the valuable sharing and experiences of Mr. Le Doan Hop, and committed to absorb and maximize the working spirit and capacity of the Department to contribute to the overall development process. He emphasized the central role of science, technology and digital transformation in connecting local activities, aiming to promote the country's economy in a comprehensive and sustainable manner.
