In the morning of May 11, Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center organized a field trip, hands-on experiences and workshop on “AI for digital transformation.”

The delegation visited the Galaxy Innovation Hub.

The tour took the staff and leaders of the center to many important locations in Ho Chi Minh City, starting from Metro Line 1 - the city's first railway line, marking a major step forward in the development of public transport infrastructure. The delegation then moved to the High-Tech Park to visit HD Bank's Galaxy Innovation Hub, and finally visited the water filtration process at Saigon Clean Water Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, and listened to Bung Tran's sharing about Google's AI tools and activities to promote digital transformation in education.

Speaking at the meeting, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center, Ms. Vo Thi Trung Trinh, emphasized that the center will increase overtime activities and create an environment for state officials, employees and businesses to exchange and learn to promote comprehensive digital transformation. She noted that digital government does not simply digitize processes but also has to create new, flexible ways of interacting with people and businesses, in which integrating digital platforms to better serve people is extremely important. She gave the example of the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen application, integrating VNeID identification, to authenticate and connect public policies, which can expand many more convenient services in the future.

Ms. Trinh also commented on the challenges in AI awareness, emphasizing that this technology has gone beyond the accessibility of the majority and needs to be used ethically and effectively to develop human intelligence and productivity, not replace them. She shared her desire to build a strong, sustainable digital ecosystem, aiming to serve people better in the future, instead of just stopping at meetings.
