Ho Chi Minh City established a Steering Committee on science and technology development
The Steering Committee is headed by Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc; Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy is the Standing Deputy Head.

The Steering Committee has Deputy Heads including: Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police Le Hong Nam, Commander of Ho Chi Minh City Command Vu Van Dien, Director of Department of Science and Technology Lam Dinh Thang, Director of Department of Home Affairs Vo Ngoc Quoc Thuan.
The Steering Committee also includes members from the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee, the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, and leaders of departments, agencies, and sectors. The Department of Science and Technology is the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee.
The Steering Committee is responsible for researching and proposing to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee directions and solutions to solve problems in implementing policies, strategies, mechanisms, and breakthrough policies for science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, implementing Project 06 and administrative reform in the city.
At the same time, assist Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee directs departments, branches, and localities to implement goals, tasks, and solutions for science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, implementation of Project 06, administrative reform; coordinate the implementation of strategies, programs, mechanisms, policies, and projects; coordinate the implementation of the action program of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Standing Committee to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
