At the same time, Vietnam will receive technology transfer as well as have the ability to produce this vaccine, contributing to getting closer to the goal of domestic cancer treatment.
Kirill Dmitriev, Director General of RDIF, stressed that the framework will promote scientific exchanges, technology transfer and research cooperation between the two countries to develop advanced biomedical products. In the context of hundreds of thousands of cancer cases and deaths each year in Vietnam, this agreement is considered a great opportunity to develop effective and cost-effective treatments and improve the quality of life of the people.
Immediately after the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement with RDIF, VNVC also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology and the Binnopharm Pharmaceutical Group. In the near future, VNVC plans to start scientific research exchange activities with Russian scientists to transfer technology, conduct clinical trials, and prepare to produce mRNA vaccines for cancer treatment right at the factory in Long An, in order to promote the early introduction of the product into widespread use in Vietnam.
