Viettel has been operating abroad for 20 years, aiming to expand its name on the world telecommunications map and become the pride and inspiration of Vietnam.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung awarded certificates of merit to 10 companies.
On May 21, 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology awarded the Minister's Certificate of Merit to 10 telecommunications enterprises investing abroad, including Viettel Global (VTG) and its subsidiaries, in recognition of their outstanding achievements contributing to the development of the Information and Communications industry.
So far, VTG has been present in 10 markets, with about 60 million subscribers, annual revenue of over 3 billion USD, of which 7/10 markets are leading in market share and 6/10 have recovered capital. VTG's success comes from the far-sighted vision since its establishment and the courage and sacrifice of the leadership team and staff in foreign markets, despite difficulties, such as war, political upheaval or natural disasters. This is a great pride but also a pressure for VTG to continue to try harder and overcome challenges.
In 2025, VTG overcame many difficulties, achieved results beyond expectations with more than 70% of capital recovered, profits increased 4 times, and held the No. 1 position in Haiti, Myanmar, Mozambique. Viettel has built a brand worth nearly 9 billion USD, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's image in the international arena and promoting diplomatic relations. Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that Viettel's success is not only the pride of the country but also inspires and creates confidence for many Vietnamese people when stepping out into the world.
