Strategic cooperation to promote artificial intelligence and digital transformation in Vietnam
On May 26, the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) and KT Corporation (South Korea) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strategic cooperation. This partnership focuses on promoting comprehensive digital transformation based on artificial intelligence (AI), enhancing Vietnam's technological competitiveness in the region.

Representatives of Viettel and Supermicro Company signed a cooperation agreement.

On the basis of maximizing the strengths and experience of each party, Viettel, with its advantages in large-scale digital-telecom infrastructure and deep understanding of the domestic market, will play a pivotal role in the deployment in the Vietnamese market. KT Group contributes its research and development capacity of technology platforms that have been proven in Korea, especially in the field of artificial intelligence and AI transformation.

Through this cooperation, the development of AI solutions suitable for Vietnam's conditions, the two sides will promote while expanding deployment to the international market.

The two corporations will closely coordinate in developing and deploying digital technology platforms, AI ecosystems and data infrastructure to serve the AI ​​transformation process - a comprehensive transformation of business operations based on artificial intelligence, not only changing tools, but also restructuring the way of operating, making decisions and creating value in the digital environment - in Vietnam.

Clearly identifying its pioneering role in the AI ​​transformation process in Vietnam, Viettel will research and apply the AI ​​transformation process to widely serve people and households. In addition, Viettel aims to provide in-depth AI transformation solutions for businesses and governments, aiming to modernize the national digital infrastructure and improve operational efficiency.

The two sides will jointly build a dedicated AI data center and GPU server cluster. To enhance AI transformation capacity, the two corporations will develop high-quality IT and AI transformation human resources through the Global Development Center located in Hanoi, agreeing to expand training programs, contributing to the development of the future generation of AI experts for Vietnam.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group Tao Duc Thang emphasized: “After a period of hard work, the agreement marks the beginning of a strategic cooperation relationship between Viettel and KT. With KT Group’s pioneering technology and Viettel’s market understanding, Viettel Group believes it will bring modern and suitable solutions to Vietnam and the international markets that Viettel is investing in.”
