On this occasion, at Meta headquarters, the Ministry of Finance coordinated with the Vietnamese Embassy and Meta to organize the “Vietnam Investment Forum” with the theme “Vietnam - Destination for Innovation and Strategic Technology”. More than 150 delegates from domestic and international enterprises, research institutes, and universities gathered to discuss cooperation and investment in high-tech fields, such as semiconductors, AI, and smart manufacturing, thereby promoting Vietnam’s technology ecosystem.

At the forum, Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Director of NIC, emphasized the role of science, technology and digitalization in transforming Vietnam's growth model, and expressed his desire to cooperate closely with leading technology corporations, such as Meta, Nvidia, and Cadence to develop a sustainable innovation ecosystem. Meta representative, Mr. Rafael Frankel, introduced the ViGen project, a Vietnamese open source dataset to promote AI applications in Vietnam and committed to expanding the company's digital technology activities in the country. Vietnamese leaders all viewed the forum as a bridge to promote ASEAN and global cooperation in the high-tech sector, contributing to improving national competitiveness.

The event also focused on promoting the investment environment, introducing preferential policies of the Government, connecting businesses and research institutes to promote technology transfer and human resource training in the semiconductor industry. At discussion sessions, such as “Unlocking Vietnam’s High-Tech Potential”, representatives from large corporations, such as Dassault Systèmes, Marvell and localities such as Bac Giang shared strategies for building a sustainable technology ecosystem, thereby enhancing the ability to attract investment and cooperation. At the same time, for the first time, Vietnam has its own “Viet Nam Lounge” at SEMICON SEA 2025, gathering the country’s technologies, human resources and investment environment, contributing to promoting the semiconductor ecosystem and expanding international relations in this strategic field.
