Launching the Danang-China greater bay area innovation space
On May 29, Da Nang Department of Science and Technology and Supporting Innovation and Startups Center held the launching ceremony of the Da Nang - Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (China) Innovation Space at Enosta Space, Son Tra district.

Delegates cut the ribbon to launch the Danang-Greater bay area innovation space.

The space aims to create a strategic bridge, helping startups easily access markets, resources, technology and investment opportunities from this dynamic region. Mr. Jesse Choi, CEO of Sunwah Group in ASEAN, emphasized that the Greater Bay Area, including dynamically developing cities, such as Hong Kong, Macau and cities in Guangdong, with a population of over 86 million and a GDP of over $2,000 billion US, is the place to promote the commercialization of innovative ideas from the lab to the market.

Mr. Jesse Choi expects the new space to become an important bridge between the innovation ecosystem of Da Nang and the Greater Bay Area, one of the most vibrant technology hubs in the world. In May, Da Nang representatives will participate in financial training programs organized by the Hong Kong Financial Services Development Council, and this week, nearly 20 experts and startups from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University will visit to explore cooperation opportunities at the Space. Da Nang has identified technology and innovation as pillars of development, always accompanying investors and businesses to promote sustainable startups.

This is Da Nang’s third Innovation Space, following cooperation projects with Seoul and Singapore, thereby expanding the city’s international network and affirming the direction of comprehensive cooperation in the field of technology and innovation. Ms. Le Thi Thuc, Deputy Director of the Department, hopes that the space will become a strategic destination for technology businesses, investors and creative ideas in the region, contributing to strengthening Da Nang’s position in the international innovation ecosystem.
