Enhancing teaching and learning capacity through artificial intelligence
In the morning of May 30 in Hanoi, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the Ministry of Education and Training, the National Innovation Center (NIC) and STEAM for Vietnam held a National Forum on Artificial Intelligence in Education, with the theme "Promoting innovation: Enhancing teaching and learning capacity through AI".

The event aims to promote the implementation of the national plan 2025 on improving digital capacity and applying AI for teachers and managers, and at the same time reflect in the strategy for developing science, technology and innovation in Vietnam. Representatives from policy agencies, educators, technology experts and partners will attend, sharing solutions and initiatives on how to integrate AI into education.
Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong emphasized the importance of using AI proactively, responsibly and creatively. The plan sets out a roadmap for capacity development for teachers and school leaders to integrate AI into teaching, management and organization of innovative activities, and organize a national festival to honor outstanding teachers in digital transformation.
Ms. Silvia Danailov, UNICEF Representative in Viet Nam, emphasized the commitment to ensuring that AI is used ethically, fairly, and for the protection of children and digital health. Co-founder of STEAM for Viet Nam, Ms. Tran To Uyen, shared about the success of the AI universalization model for 100% of teachers in Dien Bien, demonstrating the ability of teachers to learn and master technology regardless of geography or social conditions. The organization is committed to continuing to cooperate to expand this model, towards the goal of universalizing AI nationwide.
