The Ministry of Science and Technology has completed the goal of decentralizing administrative procedures under its authority, and has recorded many positive results in reducing and simplifying administrative procedures, lowering compliance costs, and shortening processing times for citizens and businesses.
According to Notice No. 201/TB-VPCP dated April 19, 2026, from the Government Office following a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung, the Government acknowledges that the Ministry of Science and Technology has promptly reviewed and developed reform plans and achieved positive results in a short period of time.

Specifically, the Ministry of Science and Technology has achieved key objectives including: i) Decentralizing administrative procedures under the Ministry's authority; ii) Reducing compliance costs by 50%; iii) Shortening processing time by 50%; iv) Eliminating 100% of unnecessary business conditions. These indicators directly impact the investment environment, helping businesses reduce costs and citizens save time and travel.

Circular 201 also requires the Ministry of Science and Technology to continue playing a leading role in digitizing records, issuing electronic results, and reusing digital data when handling administrative procedures. This is considered the foundation for building a modern, transparent administrative apparatus that provides faster and more efficient service.
