At the seminar, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung stated that Vietnam is entering a new phase of development, aiming for rapid and sustainable growth based on science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. The three strategic breakthroughs in institutions, infrastructure, and human resources continue to be promoted. Simultaneously, the focus is on shifting the growth model from assembly and processing to high value-added creation.
In this process, the private sector is a crucial driving force, and cooperation with international partners, including South Korea, is key to achieving a breakthrough.
On the South Korean side, President Lee Jae Myung proposed expanding cooperation to advanced industrial sectors such as semiconductors and electric vehicles; and strengthening supply chain connectivity in energy resources such as rare earth elements and urea. He also emphasized the need for developing stable energy infrastructure, including LNG and nuclear power projects, to meet the demands of industrial development in the coming period.
