Awards presented for the nationwide "Students and Cybersecurity 2026" competition.
The awards ceremony for the "Students and Cybersecurity 2026" competition was held in Hanoi on April 24th. The Organizing Committee awarded 4 first prizes, 7 second prizes, 15 third prizes, and 75 consolation prizes to high-achieving students nationwide.

The "Students and Cybersecurity 2026" competition has shown clear and tangible results

The "Students and Cybersecurity 2026" competition is sponsored by the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Education and Training, chaired by the National Cybersecurity Association, in coordination with the Department of Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05) of the Ministry of Public Security; the Department of Science, Technology and Information of the Ministry of Education and Training, and other partner organizations.

At the awards ceremony, Colonel, Dr. Nguyen Hong Quan, Deputy Director of the Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department (A05), Ministry of Public Security, stated that  the success of this year's competition has affirmed that educating students in digital skills and online safety skills is the right, necessary, and practically effective direction. The competition is not only a knowledge-based competition but also contributes to forming habits of safe, civilized, and responsible internet use among the younger generation.

According to the organizers, Ho Chi Minh City led the country in the number of participating students with 126,232. Hung Yen ranked second with 80,308 students, and also had the highest participation rate. At the school level, many noteworthy implementation models were observed.

In a short period of time, the preliminary round of the competition attracted 1,125,331 junior high school students from 6,840 junior high schools in 34 provinces and cities. This is a very impressive number, equivalent to about 15% of the total number of junior high school students nationwide and about 64% of junior high schools across the country.

Following the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee selected 330 outstanding contestants, representing 300 schools from 33 provinces and cities, to participate in the final round. The final round was held on April 20, 2026, at the A05 Department's online arena. The organization was carried out seriously, meticulously, and with absolute security.

In the final round, the Organizing Committee selected 101 students with the highest scores, including: 4 first prizes, 7 second prizes, 15 third prizes, and 75 consolation prizes. Among them, Nguyen Tra My, class 8C, Quang Tung Secondary School, Quang Tri province, achieved the highest score nationwide with 22 points.

These are exemplary individuals who embody the intelligence, learning spirit, integration skills, and digital adaptability of Vietnamese students today.
