Training and supplying human resources in the new era: Current situation and solutions
This was the topic of the scientific conference organized by the University of Transport Technology in collaboration with the People's Representatives Newspaper on April 10, 2026 in Hanoi.

In his opening remarks at the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Khiem, Vice Rector of the University of Transport Technology, emphasized that the workshop was held in the context of the country having just achieved many important milestones: the 14th National Congress of the Party set out strategic directions for the new development stage; the elections of National Assembly and People's Council representatives at all levels for the 2026-2031 term were successfully held, further consolidating a solid political and social foundation and the people's trust.

In particular, the implementation of Resolutions 57 and 71 has clearly defined the crucial role of knowledge, technology, and high-quality human resources in the country's development process. These are profound strategic orientations that create a policy framework and strong impetus for higher education institutions to comprehensively innovate, improve the quality of training, and align with the development requirements of the digital age.

The theme of the Conference is of particular importance, not only aiming to accurately assess the current situation but also to propose breakthrough solutions that contribute to the development of a highly qualified workforce with innovative capabilities and the ability to adapt quickly to changes in science, technology, and the labor market.

Speaking at the seminar, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Representatives Newspaper Pham Thi Thanh Huyen stated that, within the overall strategic breakthroughs, the 14th National Party Congress clearly emphasized: Developing human resources, especially high-quality human resources, linked with science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, is one of the key drivers of the new growth model.
