Can Tho City leaders held a working meeting with Eastwood Energy Dong Nai Joint Stock Company
On the morning of April 21st, at the headquarters of the Can Tho City People's Committee, Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee - along with Mr. Vuong Quoc Nam, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, chaired a meeting with Eastwood Energy Dong Nai Joint Stock Company regarding investment proposals in the city. Also attending the meeting were leaders from various city departments and agencies, and representatives from the People's Committees of relevant communes and wards.
During the meeting, the company representative stated that Eastwood Energy Dong Nai is an experienced investor in the fields of industrial real estate, renewable energy, and high-tech agriculture; and is also one of the large-scale wood pellet producers in Vietnam, with many successful projects implemented in various localities and collaborations with international partners, especially Japan and South Korea.

Representing the investor, Mr. Pham Trung Cang - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eastwood Energy Dong Nai Company - proposed that the city consider and facilitate the company's investment in the Long Thanh Industrial Park project in Thanh Hoa commune, with a scale of approximately 300 hectares. The project is oriented towards building a modern industrial park model with synchronized infrastructure and multimodal connectivity, including waterways connecting to the seaport system and sea routes, along with a road network connecting to expressways to Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces in the Mekong Delta region.
In addition, the company proposed leasing approximately 1,000 hectares of land at Phu Loi Farm to implement a project for specialized cultivation of high-tech agricultural crops, combined with the construction of a factory for producing silage pellets and pellets in the raw material area.
Regarding the wood pellet manufacturing plant project in Dai Ngai commune, which is currently underway, the enterprise requests permission to expedite certain project components to ensure completion in Q3/2026, meeting production and delivery schedules as per contracts signed with Japanese partners. The enterprise commits to fully and correctly complying with all legal procedures as instructed by the relevant authorities.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen highly appreciated the capacity, experience, and investment proposals of the enterprises, and expressed his agreement in principle with the projects.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City requested that the enterprise closely coordinate with the Management Board of Can Tho Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks and the local authorities to complete the dossier and procedures for applying for investment approval for the Long Thanh Industrial Park project; and instructed the Management Board of Can Tho Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks to promptly advise and propose to the People's Committee of the city for consideration and resolution in accordance with the law.
Regarding the wood pellet manufacturing plant project in Dai Ngai commune, city leaders requested the enterprise to urgently complete all relevant legal procedures, accelerate the construction progress of the various components, and proactively prepare raw materials for production.
Regarding the proposed project for a high-tech agricultural cultivation area linked to a pellet production plant in Ho Dac Kien commune, the Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to take the lead and coordinate with relevant units to support and guide the enterprise in completing the project proposal procedures and accessing land in accordance with current regulations.
