Approval of 33 central agricultural extension projects.
Thirty-three agricultural extension projects in the fields of crop production, livestock farming, fisheries, and forestry will be implemented starting in 2027, promoting green growth and increasing farmers' incomes.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has just issued Decision No. 1437/QD-BNNMT approving the list of central agricultural extension projects to be implemented from 2027.

According to the appendix attached to the decision, the list includes 33 projects belonging to 3 major sectors: 13 projects in crop cultivation and plant protection; 7 projects in livestock and veterinary medicine; 7 projects in fisheries promotion and rural industries; and 6 projects in forestry. The focus is on transferring advanced technologies, developing production along the value chain, improving productivity, product quality, and economic efficiency.

In the agricultural sector, notable achievements include high-quality rice production models that reduce emissions on a scale of 900 hectares; the development of new cassava varieties resistant to cassava mosaic disease; the cultivation of MD2 pineapples, a key fruit crop, according to VietGAP standards; and the production of new varieties of fruits and vegetables linked to product consumption.

The livestock sector focuses on developing models for egg-laying chicken farming using digital technology, VietGAHP-certified meat goose farming, super-egg laying duck farming using recirculating systems, disease-free pig farming, and improving the cattle herd through artificial insemination.

In the aquaculture sector, many models of shrimp farming applying IoT technology, sustainable shrimp farming along the value chain, and marine fish farming using HDPE cages certified under VietGAP will be implemented, contributing to climate change adaptation and environmental protection.
