Gia Lai focuses on developing a high-quality intellectual workforce.
The People's Committee of Gia Lai province has just issued Plan 155 KH-UBND to implement Decision No. 2711/QD-TTg dated December 12, 2025, of the Prime Minister on the National Strategy for the Development of Intellectuals in the period of accelerated industrialization and modernization of the country until 2030, with a vision to 2045, in the province.

According to the Plan, Gia Lai has set many specific targets, such as: 12 people per 10,000 inhabitants for scientific research and technological development; at least 35% of the population studying science, engineering, and technology; 25% of the workforce being intellectual workers in strategic sectors; and at least 35% of women and ethnic minorities participating in research and management positions in science and technology. At least 30 scientific, technological, and innovation projects will be implemented annually. 

In particular, the province focuses on attracting Vietnamese intellectuals abroad, with approximately 50 experts participating each year in collaborative research, training, and technology transfer.

Gia Lai focuses on developing high-quality human resources in emerging technology fields such as AI, semiconductors, and digital technology.

By 2045, Gia Lai aims to form leading expert groups in its strong areas such as high-tech agriculture, agricultural and forestry product processing, renewable energy, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, digital industry, logistics, and cultural value preservation.

To realize this goal, the province is focusing on perfecting mechanisms and policies to attract, utilize, and reward talented individuals; developing strategic technology human resources; investing in research infrastructure, innovation centers, and digital libraries; and strengthening cooperation with research institutes, universities, and experts both domestically and internationally.
