Da Nang accelerates digital transformation, creating growth momentum from the High-Tech Park.

Da Nang makes breakthroughs with high technology and innovation.

According to the report, the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones quickly stabilized its organization after the merger, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations. Administrative reform was implemented decisively, with 100% of administrative procedures conducted online throughout; the rate of applications processed correctly and on time reached 97.6%, with no overdue applications.

Digital transformation is implemented synchronously when all documents are processed in an electronic environment; many modern technologies such as BIM, GIS, and Digital Twin are effectively applied in management and operation.

Investment attraction continued to be a highlight with 24 new projects, bringing the total to 662 projects. The city proactively shaped new growth drivers such as Free Trade Zones (FTZs), high-tech zones, and logistics infrastructure systems; while simultaneously implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW with the orientation of building a smart FTZ model to attract international research and development centers.

For the Department of Science and Technology, after the merger, the organizational structure is streamlined, operating efficiently, without overlapping functions and responsibilities. Administrative reform has achieved outstanding results, with 100% of applications processed correctly and ahead of schedule, and the rate of online applications reaching 99.7%.

Digital infrastructure continues to receive strong investment with key projects such as data centers, concentrated information technology zones, and accelerated progress on submarine fiber optic cable infrastructure. Innovation activities have seen many positive changes, focusing on new fields such as artificial intelligence and semiconductor chips; gradually forming an innovation space and a startup ecosystem.

However, the implementation process still faces difficulties such as a shortage of high-quality human resources, inconsistent technical infrastructure, and slow land clearance; new models such as free trade zones, sandboxes, and the data economy are still in the process of having their mechanisms and policies perfected.

Narrowing the digital divide

Besides developing infrastructure and technology, Da Nang is focusing on promoting "digital literacy for the masses" as a fundamental solution for developing the digital economy. The implementation of 100% online public services not only improves management efficiency but also helps citizens and businesses gradually form the habit of using digital services in their daily lives and business activities.

The city aims to promote the widespread adoption of basic digital skills, support citizens in accessing digital platforms, cashless payments, and online public services; and strengthen the training and development of digital human resources at the grassroots level. This is an important step to narrow the digital divide and create a foundation for a digital society and digital citizens.

With a focus on high-tech development and digital transformation linked to "digital literacy for the masses," Da Nang is gradually asserting its pioneering role in building a digital economy, innovation, and sustainable development.
