Nurturing high-quality technology human resources from P-Innovation 2026
On April 3, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology held the Final Round of the P-Innovation 2026 competition, aiming to promote the development of an innovation ecosystem within the university environment, associated with training high-quality human resources and developing technology products.

The competition is organized by the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, with the participation of Samsung, contributing to strengthening the linkage between universities and enterprises within the innovation ecosystem.
In the context where science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation are becoming key drivers of economic growth, the establishment of open innovation ecosystems with the participation of universities, businesses, and international partners is increasingly essential.
With that orientation, P-Innovation has been implemented as an important component in the strategy to build an innovation and startup ecosystem at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology.
After 3 years of organization, the competition has gradually affirmed its role as an incubation platform in the university environment, where ideas are developed into products and progressively approach the market.
More than 100 projects participated, connecting interdisciplinary and international collaboration
In the 2026 season, the competition attracted more than 100 projects, undergoing 6 months of incubation with the support of lecturers, experts, and enterprises. As a result, many prototypes were formed, demos were completed, and initial user validation was conducted.
A highlight of the program is the interdisciplinary connection model, with participation from technology students and economics students from Foreign Trade University and the National Economics University. This combination helps integrate technological development capabilities with market-oriented thinking, enhancing product commercialization potential.
According to evaluations from experts, investment funds, and the judging panel, this year’s projects are diverse in fields, focusing on solving practical problems in digital technology, education, environment, and digital transformation. Many projects have reached the prototype stage, with clear application directions and demonstrated market access potential.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to outstanding teams. The First Prize went to the Tri-force team with the AURA QR EMS application – a solution for accessing medical information in emergency situations via QR codes; the Second Prize went to the [IEC] Memotion team with the MEMOTION application – an AI-based platform supporting elderly care; the Third Prize went to the YIRLODT_IEC’s VibeCoders team with the SAFEWORK application – a wearable AI system for real-time labor safety monitoring.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also presented several specialized awards, including: the “Most Impressive Pitching” award with a startup training course and internship opportunities supported by the Innovation Incubation Center, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; the “NAB Innovation Award” by National Australia Bank Vietnam honoring teams with outstanding innovation and technological capabilities; and the AWS Credit Award 2026 sponsored by Amazon Web Services, providing credits ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 USD along with technical support and training in Cloud and AI/ML.
The competition also expands international development opportunities for participating teams through connections with programs such as E*5 KAIST Global (South Korea) and IEDE – Innovation & Entrepreneurship for Digital Economy of Tsinghua University (China). These provide opportunities for projects to access international innovation environments and enhance product development capabilities.
Notably, the top 3 winning teams will be nominated to participate in Coding Fest in Australia, continuing to refine their products and validate their models in a global competitive environment.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Deputy Director of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, stated that the Institute identifies innovation and entrepreneurship as a long-term strategic direction; it is committed to continuing support and creating favorable conditions for ideas to develop, gradually building a comprehensive support ecosystem from incubation to product development and market connection.
Currently, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology has assigned its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center to further complete the ecosystem with key orientations such as: establishing a startup investment fund; implementing incubation programs; strengthening connections with enterprises and experts; expanding international cooperation; and developing co-working spaces focused on digital technology fields.
