Logitech Launches G512 X Gaming Keyboard: Hot-Swappable Switches and Pressure-Sensitive Commands
Logitech G has unveiled the G512 X, a gaming keyboard designed for players who demand both customization and competitive performance. With 39 analog switch positions, 8K polling rate, and a starting price of around $179.99 (≈ 4.7 million VND), the G512 X marks a bold step into modular, pressure-sensitive input.

Pressure-Sensitive Controls

The standout feature of the G512 X is its tunnel magnetoresistance sensor system, which detects how deeply each key is pressed—not just whether it’s pressed or not. This allows gamers to assign different actions based on press depth, ideal for genres requiring precision such as racing simulators or tactical shooters.

For example, a light press could trigger “walk,” while a deeper press could switch to “run” or activate another command entirely.

Hybrid Switch Design

Logitech combines analog and mechanical switches on the same board. The keyboard supports both 3-pin and 5-pin switches, with 39 hybrid slots for customization. Each unit ships with nine Gateron KS-20 analog switches, letting users experiment immediately without buying extra parts.

This modular approach positions the G512 X as a keyboard tailored to individual playstyles rather than a fixed configuration.

Performance and Features

  • 8K polling rate (0.125 ms response time) for ultra-fast input recognition.
  • Dual-command mapping: assign two actions to a single key at different press depths.
  • Two physical control knobs for quick adjustments.
  • Large RGB lighting strip for enhanced visual effects.
  • Available in 75-key and 98-key layouts.
  • Optional acrylic wrist rest for comfort during long sessions.
  • Rear accessory compartment for tools, spare switches, and secondary actuation rings.

Pricing and Availability

  • 75-key version: $179.99 (~4.7 million VND)
  • 98-key version: $199.99 (~5.2 million VND)

The G512 X is available now via LogitechG.com and will reach global retailers starting May 2, 2026.

For comparison, Logitech’s official lineup in Vietnam includes:

  • K380s Pebble 2 – 929,000 VND
  • MK250 | MK251 – from 659,000 VND
  • Alto Keys K98M – from 2.49 million VND

Outlook

With the G512 X, Logitech is pushing gaming keyboards into a new era of pressure-sensitive, hot-swappable design. For competitive players and enthusiasts alike, this could be the start of a broader shift toward keyboards that feel less like fixed tools and more like customizable gaming instruments.
